Iron Hanuman, the monkey God and ardent devotee of Lord Sri Rama, worshipped by millions in India. Hanuman is the embodiment of devotion, dedication and strength. Devotees pray to Hanuman to remove the sufferings and also to fulfill their wishes. Depicted dressed in a flowing cape, a riding crop in hand, traces of gold gilding on the surface. Rust patina. 27" x 12" x 10". 1700's AD.
Iron Kuan Yin (Quan Yin), the Chinese Goddess of mercy, seated atop a dragon, her face with a serene expression, small bow-shaped mouth, the eyes downcast, finely arched eyebrows, elongated earlobes, the hair in an elaborate motif with a diadem. Painted red, green, rust patina with traces of gold gilding.
